Single Pulse Mode

Toselectthismode,bitsSTM1andSTM0intheSTMC1registershouldbesetto10respectively

andalsotheSTIO1andSTIO0bitsshouldbesetto11respectively.TheSinglePulseOutputMode,

asthenamesuggests,willgenerateasingleshotpulseontheSTMoutputpin.

ThetriggerforthepulseoutputleadingedgeisalowtohightransitionoftheSTONbit,whichcan

beimplementedusingtheapplicationprogram.HoweverintheSinglePulseMode,theSTONbit

canalsobemadetoautomaticallychangefromlowtohighusingtheexternalSTCKpin,whichwill

inturninitiatetheSinglePulseoutput.WhentheSTONbittransitionstoahighlevel,thecounter

willstartrunningandthepulseleadingedgewillbegenerated.TheSTONbitshouldremainhigh

whenthepulseisinitsactivestate.Thegeneratedpulsetrailingedgewillbegeneratedwhenthe

STONbitisclearedtozero,whichcanbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogramorwhena

comparematchoccursfromComparatorA.

HoweveracomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsoautomaticallycleartheSTONbitandthus

generatetheSinglePulseoutputtrailingedge.InthiswaytheCCRAvaluecanbeusedtocontrolthe

pulsewidth.AcomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsogenerateaSTMinterrupt.Thecounter

canonlyberesetbacktozerowhentheSTONbitchangesfromlowtohighwhenthecounter

restarts.IntheSinglePulseModeCCRPisnotused.TheSTCCLRandSTDPXbitsarenotusedin

thisMode.
