If using CENELEC band A, it is recommended to use a 2.2 nF capacitor. For CENELEC

bands B, C, and D, a 1 nF can be used.

Power amplifier power management

When the transmitter is not in use, the outputs can be disabled and placed into a high-

impedance state. This is achieved by setting the PA_EN bit in the Enable register to 0. A

description of energy consumption following sub-block activation through the internal

registers is given in Section 10.7: ST-PLC-AFE consumption (no load).

The PA integrates a current limiter that is programmable by an internal register thanks to the

SPI communication. The current limit is set by the CL bits in the Gain register. Four limits are

available: 0.5 A, 1 A, 1.5 A, and 2.1 A. See Section 9.3.1: Overcurrent condition for

overcurrent protection.
