TheSIL/SMT80C2moduleshaveapowergoodindicatoroutput.Thisoutputpinusespositivelogicandis

opencollector.Also,thepowergoodoutputisabletosink1mA.Thepowergoodsignalshouldnotbe

pulledanyhigherthan5.1V.

Whentheoutputofthemoduleiswithin±10%ofthenominalsetpoint,thepowergoodpincanbepulled

high.

Overtemperature Protection (OTP)

TheSIL/SMT80C2isequippedwithnon-latchingovertemperatureprotection.Atemperaturesensor

monitorsthetemperatureofthePCBnearonethemainFETs.Ifthetemperatureexceedsathresholdof

150°C(typical)theconverterwillshutdown,disablingtheoutput.Whenthesubstratetemperaturehas

decreasedby10°Ctheconverterwillautomaticallyrestart.

Theconvertermightexperienceovertemperatureconditionsduringapersistentoverloadontheoutput.

Overloadconditionscanbecausedbyexternalfaults.OTPmightalsobeenteredduetoalossofcontrol

oftheenvironmentalconditions(e.g.anincreaseintheconverter’sambienttemperatureduetoafailing

fan).
