# TP7 Coded Switches (Absolute Encoders)
## Electrical Characteristics
️· Contact Resistance: ON: 1Ω max, OFF: 1MΩ min (at detent position)
️· Dielectric Strength: No breakdown at 300VAC (1 minute) between terminal-case & terminal-shaft
️· Insulation Resistance: 100MΩ min (250VDC, 1 minute) between terminal-case & terminal-shaft
## Mechanical Characteristics
️· Operating Force: 9.8-58.8mN•m (100-600gf•cm), 19.6-39.2mN•m (200-400gf•cm) for P’GRID products
️· Step Angle: Varies by channel (2CH, 3CH, 4CH, 8CH, 16CH - see datasheet for specifics)
️· Rotational Angle: Varies by model (30° - 300°, Endless)
️· Terminal Strength: No damage/fall-off under 4.9N static load (15 seconds vertical application)
️· Shaft Strength: Pull: 98.1N min, Push: 98.1N min, Nut Tightening: 0.98N•m min
️· Soldering Heat Resistance: No mechanical abnormality with 3-second max soldering iron at 350°C
